Stories of Hunger Awareness and Action

September 25, 2025 @ 7:00 pm8:30 pm

Food Insecurity Local Free in-person Event; Robbins Library, 7 – 8:30 pm

Food Link rescues and distributes over 1.6 million lbs. of nourishing food every year. Our work is powered by our volunteers – and by our commitment to data-driven solutions.

This past Saturday, the USDA chose to end its annual Household Food Security report. For 30 years, this data has played a vital role in shaping food policy.

Paired with the recent drastic cuts to SNAP, this latest decision is a deliberate step to destroy the fact base that undergirds all food benefit programs. Eliminating our ability to assess the impact of rising hunger clears a path to eliminating these benefits altogether.

Food Link will continue to stand in our mission to rescue food and nourish our community. Join us this Thursday for a free event with Arlington EATS and True Story Theater. Come together to hear stories about food insecurity and empower each other to make a difference.
