Arlington Democratic Caucus Feb. 28

Arlington Democrats are invited to attend a caucus on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 10 a.m. to elect 37 delegates and 6 alternates to the 2026 Massachusetts Democratic Convention.

The caucus will take place in the Town Hall Auditorium, 730 Mass. Ave.

Doors will open at 9:30 a.m., and we encourage attendees to arrive early. Everyone who arrives by 10:15 a.m. will be admitted.

Please fill out this Caucus Attendance and Consent to Nominate form in advance if you can. It’s optional, but filling it out will speed things up.

At this year’s state convention, to be held Friday and Saturday, May 29 and 30, at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA, thousands of Democrats from across the state will come together to endorse candidates for statewide office and unite to elect Democrats down the ballot in November of 2026.

The caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Arlington. Pre-registered Democrats who are 16 by February 19, 2026, will be welcome to vote in the caucus. (You can change your registration to Democrat at the caucus.)

Youth (age 16 to 35), veterans, minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate may apply to be an add-on delegate at the caucus or by visiting https://massdems.org.

Delegates and alternates will be divided equally between men and women, except that candidates whose gender identity is non-binary can run for delegate without needing to classify themselves as male or female. Candidates must be present at the caucus to be elected as delegates (except those serving in the Armed Forces, who must notify the chair of their candidacy before the caucus). If the caucus does not meet its designated number of alternate delegates at the time of the caucus, non-present individuals can be nominated prior to the vote being taken, provided they have previously informed the Chair in writing that they are willing to be nominated. This rule does not apply to delegates; it only applies to alternate delegates.
